The Southside Gleaning/Salvaging Network needs volunteers to help with the gleaning and distributing of food. This is a great mission opportunity for children, youth groups, United Methodist Men and United Methodist Women. If there are individuals in your churches who would be willing to grow food to help feed those who are in need or if you are interested in becoming involved in the gleaning, salvaging and distribution of food, please contact Michael Teixeira (434-542-9191) or Martha Reed (434-294-3002). We would like to thank the Farmville District (2010), Amelia Thrift Store (2009) and the Clarksville Lions Club (2010) for their financial contributions. If there are any organizations or individuals who would like to make a financial contribution to the Southside Gleaning Network, please contact Martha or Michael.
