Meherrin UMC Dedicates Ramp

On Sunday November 21, 2010, Meherrin held a service of dedication for their new ramp. The ramp makes the sanctuary more accessible for those in wheelchairs and those with walkers, canes or strollers.  District Superintendent Rev. Jim Tongue presided over the dedication assisted by Rev. Ruth Dinger of Meherrin UMC.  With the cooperation of beautiful fall weather, the dedication was held outside. Afterwards, the AWE band from Jetersville and Salem UMC played gospel music for a sing-along. The church provided a dinner afterward.  (See more photos of the event on the Photos page)
