About Our Church: New Hope United Methodist Church is located about 5 miles off of Route 40W on Route 746 (Scuffletown Road) in the Randolph Area of Charlotte County.   This church has existed since at least 1840.  Today it is an active church with an average attendance of around 50 each Sunday.   Our church is blessed with children from 6 months old through high school.   We have a very active Sunday School with classes for all ages.   We have an active youth group ages 12-18 who enjoy participating in worship services as lay readers, ushers, and once or twice a year have a Youth Sunday when they conduct the worship service.  They also look forward to participating in the “30 Hour Famine” each year as well as other mission projects.  There is an active United Methodist Women’s Group which meets monthly and is very active in supporting mission projects.  We have two weekly Bible Studies one on Wednesday afternoon and one on Thursday night.  Our desire is to support and love those within our church and to reach out into our community and the world with the love of Christ.  We welcome you to come join us.

About Our Church: Southall Memorial United Methodist Church is a quaint little country church which began at the turn of the century with Sunday School classes held in private homes. It is located on Saxkey Road in the village of Saxe, Va.   At one time it was full of children and the center of a bustling and busy community.  Today, there is very little activity in the community and most of the children have grown up and moved away.  However, the Spirit of God is still very much present in Southall Memorial United Methodist Church.  We have an average attendance of around 16 very faithful members from a 12 year old on up to late 70’s who love God and come to worship together each Sunday.  We also have a Bible Study each Wednesday night.   Our church reaches out to the community to show God’s love in any way we can including visitation of those homebound or ill.  We also contribute as much as we can to mission projects and held a stew and raised $1000 for a needy member in our community last year.  At least two community gatherings are sponsored each year, a fish fry in the fall and a Brunswick stew in the early spring.  We also sponsored a Hymn Sing last year and intend to sponsor some similar activity again this year.  Although small in number we are strong in the Spirit and we welcome all to come and share in our worship.
