Generation Gap in Pamplin

You might say there is a huge generation gap at Pamplin United Methodist Church.  Its members range from 0 to 100 years old.

Benjamin “Bennie” Massey, 100 years old,  has been attending this church faithfully since 1918 when he moved to the area at 8 years old with his parents.  Bennie will be 101 July 22, 2010.  Bennie remembers coming to a church in a horse and buggy.  What is the secret to his longevity?  Doing what he loves, farming,  fishing and attending his church.

Grace Williams, 93 years old, has  been attending this church since 1945.  She is blessed to have the youngest  of her six children, Tony and his  family  also attending church with her. The  newest members of Pamplin United  Methodist are Grace’s grandchildren, twins born  Feb 8, 2010,  Benjamin “Benji” and Angel Williams.  They are the children  of Tony and Jodi Williams.

Bennie and Grace are truly an  inspiration for the younger generation  as they are always prompt,  rarely absent and always carry a smile.
