Greetings from the Wesley Foundation Feb-March 2012

Let me start by offering my thanks to all the churches and individuals who have offered support to the Wesley Foundation over the past year. Without that support it would be impossible for us to be in ministry with Longwood and Hampden Sydney.
I’m so excited about the new semester at the Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry. We have some wonderful things planned for the rest of the year. We will have our annual Super Bowl Party on Feb. 5th at 6 PM. We will have the game projected onto the wall and plenty of tasty food. Also our spring break mission trip will be taking place. We will be heading to Alabama to help in the rebuilding of the communities that were devastated by last April’s tornadoes. This is a tangible way to express the love of God for God’s people. Of course as always, we will have our spring spiritual retreat at “the cabin” and private lake. The weekend for this retreat will be in April. Our weekly Bible study will continue on Thursday nights at 7 PM and our weekly fellowship meal and worship happens on Tuesday at 5 PM at the Wesley Foundation Student Center. We are located at 204 High St. across from Old French Hall.    These are just a few of the things we will be doing this year. As you can see there are plenty of opportunities for service, fellowship, and spiritual growth. I want to remind you that the building is open for student use. The front door is unlocked around 7:30 AM and stays open until sometime around 10 PM. Students often come by and study or just relax and watch TV in our living room.
However, the anchor of our ministry is our Tuesday weekly meal, fellowship time, and worship. We depend on various groups and local churches to provide our meal and spend time with our students. We have several Tuesday nights still open and would love to have you or your church group come and provide a meal and spend time with pretty awesome students. If you would like to help with our ministry in any way, please feel free to call or email my office at farmvillewesley(at)embarqmail.com

or 434-392-8089. I can also be reached on my cell at 434-294-1957.

Grace and peace,
